My favorite piece to learn and play was the Bacewicz 4 violin Quartet because it was really exciting to be able to play with my teachers.

Music Haven has taught me that being on time is very important and that if I committed to something then I must remain true to them.

Any advice?

Nobody likes practicing but it’s so very important. Build the good habits in the beginning so you don’t have to suffer for it in the end.

What is your plan for next year? Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

My plan for next year is to attend the University of Connecticut (main campus) to major in biology on a pre-dental track. In the next 5 years I’ll finish my undergrad and hopefully be attending dental school.

I have been playing for 9 years.

My favorite memory at Music Haven was the first time Music Haven played at the VA hospital. The VA hospital concert has always been my favorite concert of the year.

What would you say to somebody who says classical music is dead and that young people aren’t interested in it?

Not everybody likes classical music and nobody has to like classical music. There are many young people that really enjoy classical music and I know some that don’t. If classical music was dying then it would have not have survived this long. Classical music has lasted far longer than any other genre of music.
